Mouse Turn Off

T has a Vista laptop and uses a wired mouse. How can she disable her mouse pad? TIA

I did some research and found that you can disable the touchpad if you install the Dell touchpad software. I check couple laptops I have and I can't seem to find a way to disable the touchpad either. The one I have the touchpad software install, it allows me to disable it.

Also I would back up important data on your laptop. Seem like the Hard drive is having a bit of a problem.
