A researcher is looking for as many astrina stars, any kind, that they can get. Do you have a ton that are easy to catch? Meet up in Alameda and I'll take em and ship em. Would like to ship on monday. I can hold the starts.
Post below if you can help!

Thanks

Rich

Is this for consuming CCA in post-settlement grow-out?

I have tons I can share but won’t have any time to make it to Alameda. If anyone is heading over from SF (Western Addition) and wants to take mine too please DM me!

I don't recall what this is for at the moment. I know the researcher just found out that we are a huge possible source for them. I'll find out and let you know.

Not to hijack the thread here but curious -use to have a bunch and now they are all gone. Can’t recall when they disappeared but they did….

What would cause them to vanish?

Interesting, I've never heard that. Google and AI doesn't mention anything either. What's your source?
I have a leopard wrasse in my tank as well and still have Astrina stars. What type of leopard wrasse do you have?
ChatGPT says leopard wrasses eats them. That was news to me too. As to the type-not sure- I think it’s an ornate that I have

This google search says that some wrasse do eat them.

Possible yours does not, or it eats a few and keeps the population down but not entirely extinct
