New Controllers from the AquaWiz builders - Super Brain Controller

I am getting more and more interested in this company. They seem to be able to develop good quality products at a reasonable price.

Everything I heard from folks who use the AquaWiz is positive, except maybe the noise it makes when it tests.

Their new line is now a Hydros competitor, which seems to do everything Hydros does, but most likely cheaper.

Fauna showed their new products, but German only:

1:27 is when the video of the unboxing starts. I do not believe there is a price yet? Curious if someone has seenmore details elsewhere.

Well, did you see what is all included? Auto testers, dosing, controller including power plugs. If it works it is a really good price. It is to me what Reefi did with the lights. Question will be is it ok to be invested with expensive equipment into such a small company.
I just saw the price tag -but if has all that-pretty good. Expensive though on buy in -

Well yes-but a base hydros unit is only ~$400-500. You may not need serious alk/ca monitoring for a bit. Granted, if you know you are going all in on SPS -then fine,,
There are many price points and every device is it's own brain. So you can get specific what you need or what you care to spend within budget.

Apex gear is useless without the brain.

Not arguing what's better, just more entry options with hydros that I observe. Very easy to get a part here and there as well.

Overall, it is good for the controller market to get some competition. Paying 300 USD for a few controllable plugs (XP8), or the same amount for a decent doser (Sole), seems rather high, so I thought it was good to see a third alternative.

The dosers on the AquaWiz are Kamoer, which I have not used, but I assume they are reliable. I just feel that overdosing major and minor traces is the second biggest risk to my tank after heater failure, which is why I am always very cautious when it comes to dosing pumps.

No experience with them either - I use the Red Sea dosers and have been very happy with both how they calibrate (essentially you go two rounds to make sure pump was properly primed)

I also like I can’t accidentally turn on the doser unlike a Neptune DOS -that if I hit the switch by accident -well…

With the Red Sea -you need to put in any additional amount and then you need to confirm it.

Red Sea is a red flag for me, but it looks like their dosing pumps are proprietary. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

Be helpful if it could be meshed with another controller such as apex-but really it doesn’t affect anything for what I am dosing.

For the most part -their equipment has worked pretty well-reefmat, ato, dosers, and lights - Ato breaks once a year but they send me a replacement once I hit the link.

Would I necessarily buy another Red Sea tank -hmmm. Ask me in 7 years (tank will 10 yrs old) or sooner if it leaks
