SRO-2000int, pump and skimmer body not event

I connect the pump to the body and I notice about 3/4 inch difference between the pump and the skimmer body. This w/o the pump rubber foot, with the rubber foot it more around 1.5" off. The pump touch the ground but the skimmer body is not. Since they connect together by the fitting so the body just sit in the air. Anyone experience this and please tell me how to fix it. Thx
 
I have that same skimmer. It has a Bubble Blaster pump, right?

Did you buy the skimmer new? If not, perhaps the previous owner put the pump together incorrectly after cleaning.

The removable pump part, IIRC it's called the volute, can have four possible orientations. If you take it off (four screws) and rotate it 180 degrees, it should connect correctly. It should be in it's lowest orientation.

Pictures are always helpful, if you have them.

That was just a pic I stole off the net. Mine doesn't look anywhere near so clean!

I'm finally getting to understand it. It took me a while to get it tuned in. Now it pulls out some really awful smelling stuff. :cool:

IIRC, you have it's big brother. How's it working for you?
