Tank moving help

Anyone know any good local aquarium services who move aquariums? I'm moving and I have two 40 gallon tanks to bring with me :( One reef tank and one planted freshwater, and I'm keeping all the livestock.

Oakland to Oakland; date TBD.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to move the fish on the weekend of May 17th-18th. Would people be available then? I can do anytime at all.

What kind of supplies do I need? Other than I assume lots of buckets? Containers for any corals that come loose?

Assuming your moving the tank from oakland to oakland as mentioned in your previous post? Would it be possible for you to do the tank move on may 10th?

That day we have tank tours in oakland and Alameda. It Would be easy to arrange as various members Would already be in that area.

No pressure intended if the 10th isn’t available for you. I only asked about that day out of convience of having lots of extra hands to help out. In either case I'm sure some will be able to give you a hand.

Oooh this is a great list, thank you! I'll have to start bucket shopping. I'll rent a Uhaul or something, I don't think my Camry is going to cut it.

@MichaelB , yes, I'm still moving Oakland to Oakland, but the floor may not be done on my new house until the 12th unfortunately. The timing depends a bit on the condition of the subfloor once the contractor takes up the existing flooring.

All good, just thought I would mention it.

Having a barrel or large tote of saltwater 20-30 gallons heated and ready to go at the new location will be a big help especially if the water gets dirty in the live rock buckets and or for rinsing..
Are you going to drain and leave the sand in the tank? Or switch out new sand? If your going new sand Id start soaking the new in totes/ buckets adding some of your existing sand to get bb cooking ahead. Unless ur bare bottom..
