Thanks!! Didn't think a 5G box was gonna work out at first. Now problem is things are working too well... might need to upgrade the box. That is a fine collection in that box
Truly beautiful
Whatever you’ve been doing....

One can only hope... but be cool to have fully aquacultured torches several generations removed. Assume they would be hardier for tank life...Dude, you’re printing your own money there.
resorting to manual removal. The shrimp is too slow for my taste... or I have too many asterinas... both.Save the torches!
harlequin shrimp could be a worthy investment
@newfly Not at the moment. hoping to maybe see if I can get a second generation spawning. Though, if i wind up having this as a regular event, I might...@NanoCrazed are you planning to sell these babies? I may be interested
Kinda in between...Is that tank plumbed to a larger system?
or an isolated tank?
I did at beginning but not since. They mostly grow well without any feeding. Are you doing any kind of feeding? I wonder if babies have different nutrient uptake requirements. Kind of like clams where babies need regular phyto feedings before they can become fully dependent on photosynthesis.
Might you be able to run a dedicated small pump from the sump so it is its own unit but with shared water?Kinda in between...
It's plumbed into my DT but i only use a trickled flow... found this to work well for the torches and other euphyllias in general. Seems conducive to spawning.
But down side is my return clogs on occasion and my guess is water quality suffers without me knowing it.
What i might do is tie the return pump to a apex port and do a small full flush on schedule...
