Maybe that's what I should do with tank updates, instead of pulling my hair out trying to get a decent picture just take a video of the whole tank and be done with it
Keeps it simple that’s for sure and is a great way to track the health of the tank still.Maybe that's what I should do with tank updates, instead of pulling my hair out trying to get a decent picture just take a video of the whole tank and be done with it![]()
That way you can just narrate what’s happening and I don’t have to read all those pages of text.Maybe that's what I should do with tank updates, instead of pulling my hair out trying to get a decent picture just take a video of the whole tank and be done with it![]()

Looks good. I was wonder if you would use 1 or 2 of the new lights. That’s some nice spread from the one thoughWell it’s definitely a day worthy of an update and since I’ve been slacking on my journal I figured why not lol.
Swapped out my primes for a kessil AP9x and I’m so thrilled to not have 4 fixtures and freed up some much needed power space. This single mount also allowed me to put the fans on the back for a much cleaner look imo.
I’ll be matching par readings and setting a little acclimation for a week or so to hopefully help the corals adjust to the new lighting.
I figured I would need 2 or at least a 360x on either side but the par works out perfect. If I maxed it out it’s like 450+ par center that drops off to 150 on the sides so that’s more than enough. Currently running 70% and 250-300 par center and 100-125 on the sidesLooks good. I was wonder if you would use 1 or 2 of the new lights. That’s some nice spread from the one though
That would be super cool actually. I’m definitely going to look into it and if it’s not a pita I may give it a whirlWith all those lights you could do the sunset timing like melevs reef, have them turn on from right to left and then off from right to left, staggered about 5 min to have a moving sun look. it might be annoying to setup and kinda gimmicky but with the angled 360Xs it made me think of it.
