Time for bulb change.....now which ones?

Well I kinda forgot to keep up with bulb changing (mh de ) and now I'm @ 13 months and counting on my 20K helios.......I like the look it has given me but can't seem to find them anymore....tried searching online venders and such but no luck. However I found several sites with 20k reeflux , anyone have any imput on these.

I would greatly appreciate any input, thanks.

I have 12K reeflux and it's ok, but when I compare to the 20K radium, I'm sold on the radium because of the color 'pop' and will probably only use those when I replace my non-radiums. Just wish they weren't so expensive.
 
I was using 400W Reeflux 12K, then i changed it with Reeflux 20K. Its much brighter than the 12K and a little bluer. It has a clear sharp color to it. Stop by if you want to see it in person.
 
Radiums have come down quite a bit recently in price. Can't speak much about the DE bulbs but I have picked up 400W SE bulbs as low as $65 or $70.

Ask Karson if you want the helios bulbs. He did mention to me a while back he could get them, however he said his wholesaler said the helios bulbs have the highest return rate. QC on them is poor.
 
I agree with karson on that one, i purchased 3 helios 20K from Custom Aquatics last october and 2 out of three were bad. one did not fire up and the other was really yellow looking. I returned and cancelled two of them and went with Reeflux 12K instead. In fact i still have one brand new Helios 20K. I ran my reeflux 12K for 10 months before switched to the Reeflux 20K. I was planning on buying it online, but i needed it asap and Karson gave me a nice deal on it.

From all the reviews and forum discussions the color is pretty close to radium. But then again, i havent ran radium before. If I had a choice and could afford to change it ever 6 months, then i would go with radium, but since i could push this bulb for a couple of extra months longer. I decided on it.
