So now that I have almost doubled my lighting & flow it seems that little air bubbles are forming on the reef. At first I thought it was caused by flow issues but now I am wondering if it is the lighting? Anyone else had this problem? Will it go away?

Likely from algae making oxygen, supercharged by the extra light. Photosynthesis in action!

It isn’t any more of a problem than the algae itself is.

So I am on the right track with lower nutrients, more blue/less white light, and better chaeto light

Mark your tank water is supersaturated with oxygen to the point that it is bubbling out. It's a good thing! Lots of oxygen for your livestock!

If you say so caporegime! But I think is not so much a "supersaturation" as it is a creation by crap living on the rocks and the edges of corals that are not alive. Like a billion little farts:eek:

A billion little farts! Quote of the year.
Nice! Do I win a prize?
So I checked the reef this morning and no bubbles after the dark period. So I guess it is safe to say the bubbles are created by photosynthesis and not bubbles in the flow.
