Update on the torch: it's gotten fatter over time, very plump flesh band, encrusting down the plug. Was inspired by @MarcosD to post an update

From when I received the bailed head until it had grown enough skeleton to mount took around 4 1/2 months

I've tried and never succeeded. @tribbitt just has that reefing kung fu with his modified cage here.

it can be done. I had a 4 head tsa holy grail bail on me a few days after delivery a few years ago. from start to recovery took about 4 months before a skeleton was formed. ive kept it isolated in a mushroom cage with rubble and some broken pieces of frag plugs.
