what silicone from hd to use for aquarium glass again?

hi everyone,

i know its been mentioned, but i forgot.. so wondering if anyone could tell me again which silicone from hd is safe (ie - no anti-mildew/mold additives, etc.) for aquariums. trying to setup some baffles for a new sump.. thanks.

peace, kenzo

I think the one I use is the ge 100% silicone I ... The sillicone II has the anti mildew and mold stuff... I wouldn't use it to build a tank but for securing baffles it works fine..

This is the supposed to be the best silicone you can buy for the aquarium. http://www.amazon.com/GE-SILICONE-RTV108-Clear-Silicone/dp/B000LDI8FU/ref=sr_1_1/105-7066798-6566840?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1188526927&sr=1-1

See if anyone has it locally.

Yah, that is good stuff. We use it at work. That particular formula(108) doesn't have any extra mold inhibitors, chemicals, or pigments. We get it direct from GE.

It's a lot stronger than the All-Glass silicone too. The first time I used All-Glass, I thought I had a bad tube because I was so used to the RTV108, haha :D

Ah...
I've only used to put in baffles. I'd never notice if it leaked. :D

Is the RTV108 clear?
