Woe Day Scammer

Here is same situation, you buy used ecotech mp10 picture like this

They said nothing about any missing part. Bring it home then use it, the wet side drops frequently damaging corals and stirring up sand. Then you find out reason is because the magnet part on wet side is missing , parts broken, or doesn’t stick properly. You contact seller about the mp10 they said WYSWYG get, “not doing returns unfortunately a replacement will fix”, you keep pushing what they did was not ethical, “I need you to go on the ecotech parts store and get a 31 dollar mp10 wetside assembly replacement since it bothers you that much…” you call em scammer because they didn’t disclose this key information just to make sale and throw this burden into you.
 
I truly believe this should have been sorted out, outside of this forum.. I understand why @thephoreefer might feel he got scammed, but is this one instance good enough to call someone a scammer? probably no.. I guess @Woeday sucks at communicating, he posts ads on FB all the time, with multiple comments asking for price, address, details etc, but with no response from him.. I struggled getting hold of him initially, and I believe so did a lot of other folks on this forum.. but does that make him a scammer.. again probably no! Is there a scope of improvement though - a Big Yes! if posting ads, deal with enquiries.. be more responsive to texts and DMs, even if its just a "busy rn, ttyl"

I met him in person when I picked my clowns from him, and he is very like-able kid, but if you are in a business of selling fish and used stuff, specially in a community that's trusted and considered 'safe' by thousands of people, you got to be a little more flexible with return policies and stuff. I would understand why there are no returns on a fish, you may give him back something unhealthy after putting it in your tank for few days! But for dry goods, it doesnt make sense! specially if you are part of this community where eveyone is so genuine and helpful.. At the very least, @Woeday should have offered to buy the missing magnets from @thephoreefer, if not accepting the full return - or just issue a partial refund to let him buy or donate/trash it.. thats what I felt was missing in the screenshots which understandably made OP really mad. I understand OP is not looking for refund anymore, but that's my honest opinion about this whole situation.

To summarize, IMO, and its totally personal opinion:

1. @Woeday should meet @thephoreefer and make this situation right, in person, outside of this forum.
2. @thephoreefer should stop commenting on his every FB post, that he is a scammer.. I saw a few comments from you, and 1 bad experience doesn't necessarily make someone a scammer, mis-understandings play a huge part in how situations fold out sometimes but a few comments can permanently damage someone's credentials for life.
 
I think woeday is spotty with online communication… I met him in person and he’s a cool guy but hard to really get through online somehow.

I’ve met both of you guys in person, both great guys. I think the internet is just a bottleneck for communication as some things just don’t get through the same

yeah true. I did separated them and tried acclimation box for a couple weeks but didn't work so had to send one away. They were small and the exact same size tho so I guess they haven't established sex yet
