Aussie Shipment Tommorrow

Nothing to take pics of :) If I had that plate I would have a subject :p

The Sapphire is possibly coming soon (not to me of course). They people in questions beta tested the RED and still have one complete w/ under water housing. Too bad there is no projector or monitor that can even remotely handle it. You'd have to get a IMAX theater to show it for you and IIRC it still wouldn't be full quality

Oops, it's Scarlet, not Sapphire.

Here's a Red for those that have never seen one:

Wow the pic looked WAY better on their site. Guess it has some transparency to it :(

Friggen awesome camera... and the Scarlet is fairly affordable compared to the RED.

Read about it here Mark: http://www.red.com/cameras/

SUPER hi tech. It's in a class of it's own and will be for a little while.

You can thank Oakley's founder for it :D

Someone (can't remember who) was using one of those cameras on one of the reef sites. When I looked to see how expensive it was I couldn't believe it.

I'm afraid to. I am in the process of debating between a new lens, a new D700 or a vacation :)

This is more a choice a new very nice car or a camera. Add one parts alone can run more then a new car. Heck the lens set is like $20K

Blah.....that fungia is okay. It's not as colorful as that vendor's pic. I knew it was too good to be true. So, I gave it to Arnold for a good deal cuz he brought me a slice of pizza and a beer.

I'll post my own version of it shortly.

I've heard that for their video cameras you end up needing to work with a color lab like you would if you were shooting on film.

I'm having a meeting with a guy that uses one tomorrow. I'll ask about that :D
