Feeding New Fish

So how do you guys feed new fish? Just bought a Sailfin Tang. The first day he hid in the rocks. Today he's very active, swimming around and picking at algae. I tried to feed him nori on a veggie clip, but the clip broke (it was old). I threw some in the tank that was floating around and he picked at it, but didn't seem to understand it was food. I fed with some veggie pellets, but the rest of the fish gobbled it all up. I don't want to overfeed the tank. How would you guys handle feeding the newbie?

For a sailfin, I'd use a clip if you have another or just rubber band it to a piece of rubble. I cater to my fish a little bit and 'feather' the nori so it looks sort of like a comb (small strips so the fish can pull it off easily and eat). Soak it in some garlic and the little guy will figure out it's food pretty quick!

Can't go wrong with mysis soaked in garlic either.

Good call guys. I rolled up some nori, rubber banded it to a piece of rubble and placed it in his swimming path. He found it within two minutes and started munching away.
