Can you explain the concentric rings/ridges part? Maybe some pictures to illustrate would help.

Not sure if I agree with that distinction.

Here are some Scolymia showing ridges, concentric rings.

Ridges are more pronounced on the meats... based on my own first hand experience across my collection, anyway.

Ridges on scolies are much lighter. If you look at OPs, they're either nonexistent or very smooth (though on Robert's input, its neither scoly or meat.. :) )

The skeletal structure is different too that adds to it. But you can't see that too well from pics.
