Miyagi tort vs Aussie gold

What is the difference? I got this frag at the swap a year ago and it has a purple base and polyps, a bright green skin, and new growth grows in an almost horizontal claw-like shape, I think more in the direction of water current than light. It’s one of my more sensitive Acros to high water temp, but not that sensitive to alk or trace element levels (its color hasn’t changed that much between 8-10.5 alk). I’m wondering if it’s either an Aussie gold or Miyagi tort based on photos I’ve seen. It looks like the one in Neptune’s big peninsula tank.

Well I would say one big difference is that stores can slap the term "Aussie" onto a coral and get more money for it.

An Aussie gold will normally have a gold/yellow base and sometimes gold tips. Here's my RR Aussie Gold. Mine hasn't develop the yellow/gold base yet.
