Don’t care, it’s my opinion. I own a bunch of their junk. That’s just a generalization which is dumb. Have you used all Red Sea products?
If I said all of BAR sucks would that be a fair assessment?
It’s crap.

I like their ATO and dosing pump, maybe their wavemakers. Other than that, no disagreement here.lol I have had three of their tanks ranging from g1 to g2. In fact the only product that stands out to me that I haven’t tried of theirs is there reefled.
So the answer to your questions is that I am very qualified in my assessment of their products.
They suck.
I’ve owned 8 reef wave 45s. 5 failed within two years over the last 5 years as I’ve upgraded tanks, which I replaced the motors for a wonderful $150 each.I like their ATO and dosing pump, maybe their wavemakers. Other than that, no disagreement here.
That’s what I’m switching over too. I’ll let you know if I hate/love itAlso read about ATOs failing. Will probably replace mine with the Hydros soon
Usually can tell by how old it is, when did you buy it?Another dumb question - it turns out I have a Reefer 250 V3. I assume thats considered a Gen 1 but would be nice to confirm. TIA
Purchased used. Owner said its about 3 years old.Usually can tell by how old it is, when did you buy it?
I would guess gen 1 based on the age, but I think g2 was released around that same time. I have a green “Reefer 250 v3” sticker on my overflow pipe, but it’s a Gen 1. Check the serial number tag in the overflow box to confirm (it should say G2 somewhere if it’s not G1).Purchased used. Owner said its about 3 years old.
My buddy's 625xxl (132 gallon) seam broke while he was on vacation.
The worst part is RedSea delete/challenge/hide all the negative reviews instead of fixing the tank
