What do you use for media and why?

I was thinking more of keeping the 1st sock and the 2nd use some kind of media. I feel you still need to catch junk in the 1st. Just wondering if anyone is doing this at all.

Yes, they do and sometimes the turbo snails will do a nice job. maybe I need to add a few more and possible a lawnmower blenny @H2OPlayar mentioned.

Which grazers are reef safe? I kinda reluctant to get more fish or inverts that do a 180 and start munching on things that they were not supposed to be munching on.

So does it remove algae from growing in the DT?

Once in awhile I'll scrape these off of the bottom of the zoa frags. I notice today that my sump is full of them. What are they and how do I get rid of them if not tank friendly?
