Hey Folks,
I've gotten a few different frags of acans over the past months and I'd say I lose like half of them in the first days. A lot of them get into my tank, open up, nice and juicy and then are gone over night or within about 2 days. I leave them partially shaded or in a lower light section of my tank. I'm very frustrated since most people say they're hardy and fast growers. Makes me want to stick to polyps which are extra hardy
I'm not a big tester of my tank, but my tank is very happy overall. I've got a few SPS in there, lots of zoas/palys, some softies, a happy frogspawn, and several other LPS in there. Some of my acans have been fine whereas others just don't make it even when they look so good. Basically overnight I see a skeleton and catch either my cleaner shrimp or peppermint picking at it in the morning.
What do you guys think? Are the shrimps eating em? The acans I got left aren't as plump as the ones that died...
Thanks,
- Herman
