FYI on Dino's

I had a pretty virulent outbreak of Dino's about 4-5 months ago. I battled them over the next few months with Microbacter7, roughly every other day manual removal, higher flow, a 3 day blackout, less white light, etc. While all of this kept them under control they still came back every few days, and I'd have to start all over with the manual removal, turkey baster, toothbrush on rocks, etc.

Finally, about a six weeks ago, I cranked up the tan temp to 82 and it worked! Took about 3 weeks or so to finish them off, and then I left the tank at 82 for another three weeks, but the aquarium is now clear of Dinos. Whether it works or not is I'm sure dependent on species of Dino's, but it's worth trying.

I've read about that on ReefBuilders as well. I think it depends on the type of dinos you have, but there is a certain type that this works well for!

Yep. I certainly didn't pioneer the technique, but I did want to pass on the info that it worked.
