Maxima Clam ?

I just got my second calm this week, it is a teardrop maxima about 4"long. I have had a Crocera for about a year now and it is dong great. My question is are the maximas as a species slower to acclimate than the crocera. I noticed that the maxima has already secured its for VERY solid. I assume a good sign, but it is still not fully expanded it's mantle. I had had it for two days now. I drip acclimated for 1 hour before putting it in my tank. All water perams are great. On initial inspection I looked to see if the calm had any of those little snails that eat them and i didn't see any. At the store the mantle was more extended than it is now. I included some pics in my tank gallery. Any input on how it looks would be great.
