1tsp to raise 100 gallons 25ppm - 400ppm is what to shoot for.

You prolly don't need it.
It is supposed to help corals, mostly montis, color up.
Zeovit tanks seem to run in deficit of K, and my tank seems to too though its not a zeo tank.

Maybe it is a bare bottom thing? I was actually considering trying out some potassium or perhaps some aminos just to see if there was any difference as my tank is bare bottomed. I am a little worried that I have no way to test them though.

Aminos might be a kind of voodoo, but you gotta wonder :D

Mingwei doses Seachem aminos to his display tanks. 4 tablespoons once a week to the one(300 gallon system?) behind the counter. I forgot how much for the one by the door.

Maybe if I dose aminos, my tank will turn into the same thing, hehe :D

Spesh I got the same thing for half the cost :)

once a week feeding of aminos and you attribute what to this? That may help for an hour or two, but other then that I can see no benifits from such a light dosing.

Darn if I know. Just relaying anecdotal info.

Haven't looked into the supposed how's and why's.

Would be interesting to see some controlled experiments.

Well, I have :) The scientists are still out to lunch on how corals process aminos (if free floating, not ingested via another animal)

Forgot to add, doesn't he dose a billion other things as well? :d

Would anyone happen to know if we would be able to use this product in our tanks:
http://www.seachem.com/products/product_pages/FlourishPotassium.html

i know its K2SO4 and not KCl but isnt sulfur found in high concentrations in NSW?

According to Randy, it should be fine to use, just inefficient - it doesn't have much KCl for the weight/volume. FWIW, I used it a few times, and Hunter at lucky goldfish uses it. I think it prolly good if you aren't testing.

That potassium supplement is very inefficient. I do have tons of dry K2SO4 from my planted tank days. Let me know if anyone wants some to try.

If you are thinking of dosing K2SO4 from fluorish, you can buy bulk K2SO4 for dirt cheap. We dose it all the time in planted tanks.
