I gotta ask... what's up with the pre-registration? Did I just sign up for a lifetime of spam?

It gives us a more accurate number of attendees...atleast that's what marketing tells me. ;)

Definitely not - the spam will not stop just because you die, so it's not merely one lifetime of spam. Get ready for more polymer scaffolded male enhancement treatment spam!

After registering for several events on Eventzilla, I have not been able to trace any spam back to them.

As Jim mentioned, the purpose of registration is to gauge the number of attendees. Invitations to BAP have been extended to our brother and sister clubs all over northern and central California, and it would be nice for everyone to have a seat. :)

Dang, it sounds like it might be a full house there.

To be safe, maybe an entire haz-mat getup

YES! Time to get one of those cool yellow outfits like on 'Breaking Bad'! :)

Mike, I was trying to be a bit funny. Forgot the smiley! The safety glasses will be with me!
I better bring some mask or something because if the first time I come back from one of these "reefing meetings" sick from palytoxins the school I go to may be a bit curious about what we do at the meetings ha ha. :D Especially with a hobby name like reefing and in a club called BAR. :)
Also I think I will be coming I will just need to check about transportation and such.

Let's hope so. Would be nice to see the place full.
Well I'm going to go towards the greedy side of things and say more people reduces my chances of winning some of those tasty prizes! And even then it reminds me of the guy who won some fancy LED fixture at BAYMAC or something and had no idea what it was and just turned around to sell it.

I agree! It just reduces my chances of winning that MP40 :( Meeting lots of new people is always good though!

In case some of you boys and girls are not familiar with the speakers, here's some light reading to tide you over until the workshop. Feel free to add anything else you find interesting by Tal and Rich, or anything pertaining to breeding and propagating!

I'm siting here looking into the holding tank for the fragging demo corals and am stoked. Some of these have been held for yrs and are in prime health.

For the fragging demo we have the following items (at least) to propagate during Rich's hour-long demo.

Rainbow stylo
Zoanthids
Montipora
Branching frogspawn
Micromussa
Gonipora
Elegance

It's a diverse group of corals that should easily take up the hour we have allotted. Each coral will yield numerous frags, which will return to the home system for healing and growth, and we're happy to say they'll be put into future BAR event raffles.

With just over a week, it's time to get stoked yourself!

Super excited about this everyone! Please come prepared with questions and we'll if we can get a some peoples hands wet!

More news!

Lightning maroon clownfish babies from the first batch will be released to the public
http://reefbuilders.com/2012/10/04/lightning-maroon-clownfish-babies

Jake mentions that several pairs are being safeguarded with breeders to bank the lineage, I wonder if Tal was the lucky recipient of a pair of lightning maroons?

I notice no leathers among the corals to be fragged. I have a three medium sized leather corals that I would be willing to offer for fragging practice. They are each about 2 inches across and about 3 inches long.

Mike we can talk offline.

Water's mixed and warm, tanks ready to set up at Chabot, corals ready! Speakers ready, food, raffle - we're all set for a fun time.

Let's get out and support Tal and Rich this weekend! This should be entertaining and informative

Get stoked!
