June 12th Meeting featuring Justin Credabel

A little late on the announcement here folks, sorry about that..

Justin's talk will cover a variety of subjects that of particular interest to the club and its mission. His talk will cover Goniopora species identification, proper species selection, and propagation. His talk will also delve into the cutting edge practice of coral fusion, how to, and what he has learned in his years of experimentation.

This is going to be an exciting and entertaining talk that you'll not want to miss, hope to see you there!!!

Here's driving directions:

To park in the Chabot College campus parking lots costs $2.00 for the day. Permits can be obtained using the kiosks around the parking lots. Please do not park in any reserved or restricted spot, you will be ticketed.

● From San Francisco, take the Bay Bridge to 880 South. From 880 South,
take 92 West toward the San Mateo Bridge. Exit to the right onto
Hesperian Blvd.

● From Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, and the San Joaquin Valley, take 580
West to 880 South. From 880 South, take 92 West toward the San Mateo
Bridge. Exit to the right onto Hesperian Blvd.

● From Oakland, Berkeley, Vallejo, Napa, and points north, take 80 South
to 880 South. From 880 South, take 92 West toward the San Mateo Bridge.
Exit to the right onto Hesperian Blvd.

● From Palo Alto, Cupertino, Saratoga, take 84 East across the Dumbarton
Bridge, and north on 880. From 880 North, take 92 West toward the San
Mateo Bridge. Merge to the right, and exit to the right onto Hesperian
Blvd.

● From San Jose take 880 North. From 880 North, take 92 West toward the
San Mateo Bridge. Merge to the right, and exit to the right onto
Hesperian Blvd.

● From the Peninsula, take 280 or 101 to 92 East across the San Mateo
Bridge. From 92 East take the Hesperian Blvd. exit, and turn left at
the stoplight onto Hesperian, passing over the freeway north.

So any more info about the speaker? I mean not everyone simply knows people by their name (or stage name). Does he run a business? Is he a superstar that works in a public aquarium? Or is he just cool with the ladies using that name :D

Justin has written a ton of articles for Reef Keeping, Advanced Aquarist Online and a few others. his early work was with goniopora (remember Goniopora.org?) he's current work is with coral fusion. He's spoken at MACNA, IMAC, RAP and countless club events. He's a contributor to Wet Web Media and Reef Builders. he's set up and run a couple aquaculture facilities now.

Mike, sometimes getting an abstract is not so simple. Just show up, I book good speakers ;)
