Spam musubi. I've heard of it, seen pictures of it, but have never had it...

Haha...if you are game, I'll make some for you ;D

I'll also make some less-artery-clogging types of musubi for the less adventuresome. :D

Really though, it isn't that bad...My kids and husband (East Coaster) like it every now and again. :) At least it has the heathy Seaweed on the outside. :D

I don't know Chris.....you are 0 - 4 for these things. Are you really coming? : )

Also you are not yet a 2009 Member?

Should I make something really local and freak people out...Spam Musubis anyone? ;D

The g/f says yes please, she wanted to some when in Maui, however it was quite pricey for what you got.

LOL ;D I like your girlfriend Mike - adventurous spirit, not afraid of new things! :D I'll definitely have to make some for her!

That's the thing, it wasn't new for her she had it, probably in Taiwan where she grew up. What is it with island nations and spam :D

Really! This is even funnier. ;D I didn't know they had Spam Musubis in Taiwan. :) Or is it just the Spam, and Hawaii can still claim the Spam musubi as their own invention? :D

Spam was spread by the military. A non-spoilable source of meat (or fat if you prefer). See this site, it is pretty interesting if you want to know the history of SPAM and how it spread around the world. :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(food)

Mike and Arman - I hate to say this, but you guys need to be 2009 BAR member - can you update your payment? please... : )
