Figured I'd post some updated photos since the tank turned 1 year old this past week!

Awesome photos. Corals and the like look very happy. The Midas blenny is looking at me funny, perhaps to say "I'm hungry! Tell this lady to give me more food!"

Thanks Erin! The midas blenny is quite the character. He's always begging for food and those photos were taken right before feeding time when all the fish are out waiting for dinner, so that's probably what he's actually thinking haha.

I took a bunch of photos yesterday, so I thought I'd share.

Wonderful macro shots.
Thank you! My trick is that most of those were taken by putting my camera in its waterproof case I use when diving and submerging the camera in the tank. I can get right up against the corals that way to get some nice macro shots without having to zoom.

A little over a month ago, I set up a 10 gallon frag tank using some old equipment I had on hand. I've been running a 20" 4-bulb T5 fixture over the frag tank, but after checking with the clubs PAR meter, I'm only getting a reading of 70 at the very top of the tank. I could replace the bulbs for $20/each or go ahead and upgrade to LEDs which was my eventual plan anyway, so I ordered the supplies for another DIY LED fixture. I got the kit from the same company as the one over the 30 gallon since I love it so much. The new kit is from Aquastyleonline.com and cost $104 including shipping.

It's a 14, 3W LED dimmable kit with the following:
- 6 Royal blue
- 3 10000K white
- 3 4500K white
- 2 pink
- 5" x 16" heatsink with hanging fixture
- 2 dimmable drivers with potentiometers
- heatsink plaster, wire, etc

I'll keep you all posted on how the build goes. The kit is coming from Hong Kong, so shipping will take a while.
