I always thought he was. Hes always done BAR discounts and he has his own sub forum
When we announce the upcoming meetings and invite everyone to attend, we want to be able to Feature it so more people will see it. Because of a quirk of how the site is set up, that means we need to put those announcements in the Events & Annoucements section.
When we publish the meeting minutes, that goes in the Club Business-> Club Financials and Minutes section.

We all understand they are volunteers and that DOES NOT MATTER. My input Does not need to be expressed at a meeting to be heard and takin serious. I’m expressing it here in a club I’ve payed my dues to be apart of.
Still just pilling on rich just wish you weren’t part of the boys club now we’re just circling back to points that are not being said. I do not care that you or anyone else was a volunteer that does not matter stop being defensive and be positive and objective instead of again coming the defend the boys club!

I have no idea if you are joking or not, so I have node if I should reply or not.
I’m gonna be quiet now. All I have to say tho. Is Dang. That’s harsh man. Maybe I’m reading this wrong, it’s getting brutal. Please stop. Rich has done and continues to guild us with his knowledge and wisdom.
If you feel so strongly about BOD. Please join BOD and advocate some changes.

What’s brutal will? Truth hurts your guys feelings then take off the BOD hat and leave the group like you guys like to say to everyone else.
This going back to the simple fact titles and the little bit of power can corrupt.
This will be my final statement on the matter, and I'll await the club's decision. It seems we've reached a critical juncture that requires a definitive path forward. In my 20 years as a sponsor, I've seen the club's values and standards evolve, and I believe we've strayed from our original vision. When I first joined, selling/buying animals straight out of the bag was universally frowned upon. However, it's clear that attitudes have shifted, and many members now consider it acceptable.
While I respect the members' right to decide the club's direction, I want to emphasize my strong reservations about this approach. As someone who has dedicated years to caring for these animals, I couldn't in good conscience continue to be associated with a club that doesn't share my values.
I've clearly stated my position, and I won't engage in further debate about my business practices. My longevity and reputation in the industry speak for themselves. If the club's membership and board decide to move forward with a different approach, I'll respect that decision. However, if you want me to continue as a sponsor, I expect the club to uphold the standards and values that we originally agreed upon.
Ultimately, it's about consistency and integrity. I didn't sign up to compromise my values or repeatedly defend my stance. If the club's direction has changed, it's time for me to reassess our partnership and determine whether it's still a good fit for both Neptune and BAR.

This whole thing is getting lost I’ll make it easy. This once again is just flying right over the few BODs heads due to there badge blinders.
I don’t agree with what Ed’s doing. I don’t like it personally from a business and professionalism side.
The other points I’ve made have nothing to do with that it’s more of a broad generalization of how it feels to me.

Yes. I will be stepping down from BOD at the end of this year also. So yeah. I’m taking off the BOD hat as you call it. It’s funny that you call us the boys club because I would include you in that club if there ever was one.
This whole thing that you have argued/ statements has really confused me about you.

Sure it does. The aren't getting paid, nor are they getting benefits for doing what they do. They certainly don't need to be taken to task for minor stuff. If no one volunteers because club members are coming across agro, no club. The end.
I didn't say it did. If you REALLY want to be heard, attend a BOD meeting. Your input is still heard if you don't, you just have no idea about it, and have no idea why it was or wasn't acted upon.
And you are being heard. I am unsure what you want - a custom collagraphy note addressing all of your concerns? If you want to impact the direction of the club, don't potshot, go to a meeting and help (and understand the realities of running a club like this).

Now? I helped start this club. I am also not a member of the BOD, so I am just talking about what I find interesting. If you don't like it, put me on ignore.

You do keep saying it. That’s the typical go to. if I really want to be heard attend a meeting. Which infers their time is more important than mine.
No one said they get extra benefits. No one said they are doing a bad job that’s just the first thing that gets thrust out to defend this same old discussion.
But they’re do get free membership which I’m all for.
The amount of time put in does not give you any extra say in anything here so there is no relevance in continuing to state but theyre are volunteers so its unfair to criticize double standard.
I’m also not getting paid to be so why doesn’t that matter you? Because I don’t have that badge!

My thoughts on BOD and volunteering in general.
People volunteer because they believe in something so much that they are willing to donate their time for free. Unfortunately, over time, if the donated work isn't appreciated, it leads to resentment and toxicity. If anyone feels this, they should really step down from the BOD. For those who want to be a part BOD, remember that it is a commitment, a responsibility that you signed up for, and doing it for free should never be an excuse.
Edit: If I join the BOD, I would ask how much time I should commit. And if that time works for me, I would consider that time a "gift" and not expect anything in return.

When I refer to the boys club it’s based on the willful arrogance some members have due to their title within the club. I appreciate you to Will and all the BOD
We won’t get to the places we want to be without all of us expressing our concerns.
I agree. Please pull the claws away. I’ve always considered you as a valuable member.
When you say boys club. I think Friends Club is more appropriate. And that’s what we are all supposed to be in this club. It’s supposed to be a big friends club.

But you misread it the first time I said it, and missed the 'really'. Again, you are heard if you don't attend a meeting, but if you feel that you aren't being heard, attend a meeting.
Maybe it is. They are working hard to make the club go - you seem to be whinging.
Sure you and others did.
Not on its own, but in conjunction with being a member of the BOD, of course it does give you and extra say, along with extra responsibilities. I don't believe I said anything about it being unfair to critize them, nor did I think it. By definition, being on the BOD gives you say that members and not members don't have.
Because you are not a member of the BOD, don't go to meetings, and don't do the work of making the club go.
For someone that said they don't like it when people read things into their posts that they don't mean, you sure have no problem doing the same thing to me.
